This gem in Fairfield, CT is a haven for those who crave the crispy chicken nuggets, alongside a delectable array of wraps, breakfast sandwiches, salads, and a unique offering โ€“ fried mashed potato cones. Garden Catering is the place to go when you’re craving all of these delicious foods and certainly qualifies as a pick me up.

While Garden Catering is renowned for its chicken nuggets, it’s far more than that. The menu here offers a variety of options to cater to all tastes and cravings. Their wraps are all winners for sure! Choose from options like kale chicken caesar, BBQ chicken, or spicy buffalo for a satisfying and wholesome meal. Not an early riser? Not a problem here! Their breakfast sandwiches are served all day and unlike anything you can find at a regular bagel shop. They take ordinary breakfast sandwiches and put their own twist on them as they put their famous cones in them to give it that extra crunch factor. In a place like this, customers don’t typically come here for a salad. But let me tell you, Garden Catering is my new go to for a quick and delicious salad! Gatekeeping no more!

We tried their most popular items and here’s what we got to say about them:

Starting off with breakfast sandwich: We tried the Morning Clucker (bacon, egg and cheese with nuggets and maple butter on a toasted Martinโ€™s potato roll) and it sure was a great start to my day. The maple butter paired perfectly with the bacon!

Next the wraps: We tried the BBQ chicken wrap (grilled chicken, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese + bacon) and the Nugget wrap (nuggets, cones, fries, cheese, Hotsyโ€™s chili + seasoning). The seasoning on the nugget wrap is UNREAL and they have extra all ready to go for you to take home!

Salad time: We tried the Cranberry, Pear, and Walnut salad and it tasted like fall in a bowl! Everything was super refreshing, this is definitely an underrated menu item here. Take my recommendation and try it out!

Best for last: The Cones. Perfectly crispy coating with soft and fluffy mashed potatoes in the middle. I’m still thinking about them right now! Definitely famous for a reason, they are to die for.

Garden Catering has many locations but do not panic if there’s not one nearby!! They offer nugget shipping directly to your front door! Just pick what you’d like on their website, and let them take care of the rest!

About Garden Catering:

Our nuggets were born back when Bruce Springsteen was blaring on vinyls and disco vibes were in full swing. The original owner, Lou Iandoli, opened Garden Poultry in the heart of Greenwich, CT. In 1978, he opened our flagship location on Sound Beach Avenue under the name of Garden Catering and a legend was born. Sadly, Mr. Iandoli passed away in 1989 but his legacy continued. Nugget lovers rejoiced as Frank Carpenteri Sr. bought the business and the secret recipes for Garden Catering’s famous fried chicken. The nuggets lived on. Frankโ€™s son & daughter now run the business, and with 8 locations in CT and NY, continue to spread the nugget love to those far & wide.

Hi everyone! My name is Kirsten Horlbeck, one of the interns at 203 local. I was born and raised in Norwell, Massachusetts and I spend most of my time on Cape Cod where I'm on the beach 24/7. I decided to pursue my academic career at Fairfield University in CT, where I'm currently studying communications with a minor in psychology. I'm currently a senior graduating in May 2024! I decided to take on this internship at 203 local to enhance my marketing and communication skills and so far it has helped me decide which career path I would like to enter. A few fun facts about me is that I am one of five and have a twin sister! I also have a cat named Milo and two dogs, Jetti and Cash. I have always loved to travel and took that passion abroad where I spent 4 months in Florence, Italy. That experience is one I'll never forget and has taught me so much, I always highly recommend going to everyone here at Fairfield! Alongside traveling, I love to try new things that are out of my comfort zone such as foods i've never had. I'm a huge seafood lover…
