The “Raise a Cup of Hot Chocolate for Operation Hope” campaign is turning a seasonal favorite into something way bigger—helping fight hunger and homelessness right here in Fairfield County.
How It Works
Meet Peter, aka @thehotchocolatekid—a local on a mission to find the best hot chocolate spots around the 203. From May through the end of the year, he’s visiting different cafés each week, sipping his way through the county.
But here’s the twist:
For every cup he tries, he donates the cost of one hot chocolate to Operation Hope—and he’s encouraging everyone else to do the same.
It’s part food crawl, part fundraiser, and fully community-driven.

Operation Hope is a Fairfield-based nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and homelessness in the local community by meeting immediate needs while creating long-term solutions.
