An artist known for her powerhouse performances on stage and screen, Lauren brought her authentic rock sound to Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” in the hit Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill and scored Tony and Grammy Awards for her work. Now, with this evening of music, Lauren brings her searing vocal power to the rock, soul, and pop songs that she believes belong in a more expansive view of “the American Songbook.”
With a band led by Bryan Perri (resident music supervisor of ACT of CT in Ridgefield), Lauren shares the songs she grew up on, the artists who inspire her, and the hits from a myriad of styles that have made an indelible mark on American culture.
