New Haven, Conn. – Haven Hot Chicken, New Haven’s first dedicated Nashville-style Hot Chicken restaurant today announced a partnership with Avelo Airlines, based out of Tweed New Haven Airport. The businesses will jointly run a month-long social media contest to give away two tickets for the inaugural nonstop round-trip flight from New Haven to Nashville on May 6th. The contest winner will win a complimentary flight for two as well as a three-night hotel stay in Nashville.
“When we saw that Avelo announced direct flights to Nashville from Tweed New Haven airport, we immediately reached out to discuss a partnership to help us send two Hot Chicken loving guests to Nashville and experience the birthplace of Hot Chicken,” said Jason Sobocinski, one of Haven Hot Chicken’s founders. “What better day to announce this contest than on March 30 – National Hot Chicken Day!”
“We love being part of the vibrant community of New Haven and meeting the business owners and residents,” said Travis Christ, Avelo Airlines’ Head of Marketing. “We are excited about our new route to Nashville and know this partnership with Haven Hot Chicken is going to benefit both the demand for travel to experience the birthplace of hot chicken and also allow New Haven residents to explore some great food in their own backyard.”
