Cosmic Botany will feature Roger Mudre in his first solo exhibition with Sorelle Gallery.
Mudre’s original artwork is inspired by the patterns of nature and the circle as the perfect form, and has an iridescent quality due to the metallic under-layer, over which he applies paint.
Titling each of his paintings after plants, he draws reference from what he describes as “microscopic worlds, cellular growth, auras, the cosmos, and places unseen, only imagined.”
The exhibition will include six brand new original paintings, and will be on view at Sorelle in Westport, CT from Saturday, October 1st through October 23rd. An Opening Reception and Artist Meet & Greet will be held the day the exhibition opens on October 1st, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be available, and the event is free and open to the public.
