Recently, we were able to visit Graze & Co. to get a first hand look at how their gorgeous grazing boards are crafted. Graze & Co. was created to bring people together through the art of beautiful food while providing an eco-friendly and affordable way to deliver a high quality product. Graze and Co.’s boards and tables are the perfect staple or centerpiece at any gatherings, book clubs, and holiday parties. Graze offers cracker boards, charcuterie boards, crudites boards, cheese boards, and even combinations!

During our interview, Haley Keane, the owner of Graze & Co. laughingly called herself a professional shopper more than anything. We would definitely agree! Haley orders and picks out the freshest and most eco-friendly products for her boards every week! Don’t believe us? Take a look at these beautiful fruits in Graze & Co.’s kitchen that almost look too good to eat!

Charcuterie boards are designed to have something for everyone and Graze & Co. nails that on the head. They are the embodiment of community on a plate! We had the honor of receiving one of Graze & Co.’s charcuterie boards and it was amazing! It had blue cheese, brie, a selection of meats, berries, and fresh olives! Take a look!

Tell me a little about yourself and why you opened Graze and Co?

I started Graze & Co. as a way to combine my love of food and art! I went to college and studied fine arts at Tufts, at the school of Fine Arts in Boston, and I also was able to study in Paris! I have a friend from Australia who sent me a link to a good grazing table back in 2016. I was like wow, I’d never seen something so beautiful. I‘ve worked in restaurants and catering for years and it just kind of opened my eyes to how I could keep working in food, which I’ve come to really love, but then bring an artistic element to that.”

How did you come up with the name Graze & Co. ?

“It seemed like the most succinct way of saying what it is and I didn’t want to have my name on it. It’s not really about me. At this point, I’ve trained a bunch of my employees to make boards and tables without me because I want it to be more about the art and celebrating together. It’s about grazing!”

How did you learn about charcuterie boards and cheeses and things like that?

“I started learning about cheese when I was living in France and the family friends I was staying with were super welcoming. They made a cheese plate for me and the cheeses were so strong that my eyes were watering. So at first I was kind of wary of blue cheese but I’ve come to really love everything and I’m really partial to goat cheeses!”

How do you decide what goes on what board?

I make a lot of choices based on seasonality and what can be found at the present time.  I also try to keep not necessarily a theme, but a motif of whatever the season is. If it’s fall I’m going to start using more of the red grapes and less of the greens, less of the bright colors.”

What’s your favorite board you’ve made or your favorite board to make?

“My favorite is definitely the cheese and charcuterie, it has a variety of ingredients. It has a little bit of olives, cheese, meats, a little bit of everything!”

What do you think is unique and special about Graze & Co?

“I think what makes us unique in the catering world and even in the grazing world is the artistry and how that’s a priority more than anything; and at the same time, using really quality ingredients. For me, being an artist was so core to my being and this is my way of marking food that’s both art and beautiful.”

Tell me how catering works? You can book a table, just a board?

“We have basically three different options. We make Individual boxes that we sell to breweries, vineyards, playhouses, stuff like that. Then we make boards in a variety of sizes that you can order on our website and we’ll deliver to you or you can pick up from our kitchen. Then we also do the catered events where you e-mail us and we have a menu of different options that we send and one of our event coordinators.”
