We asked and they answered! Here are the questions most asked before joining a Women Empowerment Summit + Wellness Retreat:

1. How did you begin your journey into participating in wellness ?

 -During April 2022, I’ve hit a new rock bottom. As I recently quit working with a startup company as an assistant, I wasn’t happy with myself and the depression of being stuck has sunk in. This has pushed me to a position to find a way to discover a new me. Looking for retreats to attend, I couldn’t find any affordable & relatable groups to join. So I decided to create a wellness group for those that may be in the same position as myself. I’ve started my journey of learning to run wellness retreats which turned into becoming a Life Coach. Since then I’ve been crafting Hidden Healings, LLC, a life coaching company based in the Fairfield County area. 

2. Are you working on something new ?

– Sister Circle is our newest chapter that we are developing under Hidden Healings. The Sister Circle brand came from our first introductory event that we’ve hosted in Stamford this past April. The Sister Circle Picnic, was an event to bring women of all walks of life together to learn more about how life coaching can be beneficial to the growth that we all need help commiting to. Sister Circle was just an idea that was for the moment, however the name and the meaning behind the brand became a lifestyle that we have adopted as our own. New developments of Sister Circle will be released at our next event on October 14th at Surfside Hotel.

3. Is there something a beginner should know before their first wellness retreat/ workshop?

– A retreat and workshop is just the beginning. You must understand the journey will not just be a one stop shop then you become a new you. Retreats/ workshops are there to help you get an understanding on how the process works or give more information on specific topics such as working through grief, finding your voice, freeing your mind, etc. 

4. Is there a specific mindset you need to have before completing a retreat? 

– No, not at all. Retreats and workshops are there to help you understand yourself in a way you would not naturally do alone. 

5. How much do wellness retreats or workshops usually cost? 

–  Truly it depends on what is offered and the duration of the events. One-day events – 7-day retreats all differ in price. Specifically, retreats usually include all meals, boarding, & activities which may cause the cost to rise depending on the location of the retreat. Fortunately, payment plans are available to make retreats accessible to all who wish to attend.

6. What do wellness retreats usually entail?

– Retreats would consist of an oasis getaway that would come with strategic guided activities designed to allow guests to dig deep within themselves in a safe space with others. 

7. Do you believe that holistic ways and thinking could be the cure-all? 

– Not necessarily a cure-all by any means. Holistic ways & thinking allow new ways to gain clarity. The mind is a very strong and underrated muscle we all possess and through holistic teaching, we can learn to.

8. Are you allowed phones in retreats?

– Pertaining to wellness retreats, phones are allowed during designated breaks but not during activities. We understand that while healing yourself, you may be worried about your children or family and may need to be accessible. Even though we would love for our guest to try to be off-grid and undistracted, we understand things happen. 

9. Is it better to come alone or with someone to one?

– Whether you come alone or with someone, every individual will leave with their own experience. 

10. Do you have any tips for creating a wellness retreat at home? 

– One tip I have is to find new ways to meditate, whether it’s sitting in silence or listening to your favorite calming tunes, taking time to just allow yourself to be present at that particular moment creates a space for you.
