Join us at the Where the Love Is Animal Rescue Adoption Event in partnership with Radio 104.1 WMRQ taking place Saturday, July 8th from 12 – 2 PM at The Surfside Hotel in Stratford, CT!
It’s a Saturday, so you know what that means…there will also be a 203popups open air market running from 10 AM to 2 PM. It’s all going down at Point No Point Park across the street from Little Pub located at 10 Washington Parkway in Stratford, CT. Little Pub also has bottomless brunch that day from 10 AM to 3 PM and our favorite store, Mellow Monkey, is right around the corner with Two Roads a short drive away. Sounds like the perfect Saturday to us!
Where the Love Is, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter whose mission is finding loving homes for pets in Connecticut and beyond. It was founded in Hamden, Connecticut in July 2013 and has since rescued and found adoptive homes for more than 1,000 dogs. Dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty and abuse, Where The Love Is promotes the fostering and/or adoption of abandoned or unwanted pets. Many of the animals up for adoption come from high-kill shelters in states like Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia where they often face euthanasia. They are brought to our shelter in Connecticut and given a new “leash on life.” Each pet is fully vetted, receives some training, and gets lots of love before they are matched with a new family. Where the Love Is relies fully on volunteers, so 100 percent of your donation goes toward the animals’ health care and social and emotional well-being.

Little Pub offers great food, generous drinks, and a lively pub atmosphere you’ll feel right at home in. A rustic neighborhood gathering place with a relentless focus on customer service, value, and fun. The menu features Chef Tim Passaro’s Old World meets New World takes on everything from fish & chips to falafels to the infamous Graceland burger with grilled bananas and Thai peanut sauce. They’ve always aimed to be a neighborhood gathering place and looking at the mix of guests we get in there; families, friends, couples, co-workers, etc., you could say they’ve managed to create a pretty broad appeal. That’s probably because they’ve kept the model simple; fun over fancy, comfortable over cool. It’s not rocket science; it’s really just sticking to their core values of providing great food and drinks coupled with a relentless focus on customer service in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
