Tonight we got to experience a restaurant called Mecha Noodle Bar. A cool fact about the name of this restaurant is that the word Mecha means “mom and pop” in Vietnamese, but it is also a curse word that could be used when kids acted up. While we were there it was clear that Mecha Noodle Bar has a great high energy vibe! What made it such a  unique experience were the wooden planks hanging from the ceiling and covering the walls. While we were there we had some pretty great food and drinks!

We started off our meal with some Korean fried chicken, red oil dumplings, kimchi fried rice, beef noodle, general TSO’s shrimp, and unagi hand roll. We have to say our personal favorite was the beef noodle! The mix of lettuce, beef and noodles together was absolutely delicious, we couldn’t stop eating it! The unagi was another favorite. The unagi hand rolls consisted of eel sauce, sweet potato, and sesame and we would definitely recommend this!

As far as drinks go, their bubble tea is a must try! They have great bubble tea and also great alcoholic drinks like their one way ticket which we tried. It was an enjoyable drink taste wise, but also aesthetic wise! It came with a lavender stem on the top of the rim of the drink. The bubble drinks we tried were the lucky peach and the thai iced tea and they never disappoint!

After we finished up those non-noodle dishes and drinks we had the pho ga, spicy miso and spicy beef ramen. These dishes never miss! They were so good and what makes these dishes even better is when you order a bowl of ramen, $0.50 will support a good cause in your community! Mecha Noodle Bar is also vegetarian, vegan, and special diet friendly. They really do it all!

See below for some of what we tried!

About Mecha Noodle Bar: They have been in the game for a long time. Since they were little boys, they were taught the traditional ways of cooking and the value of a shared meal from their huge diverse family. They were sons of immigrants, so they also learned the importance of sacrifice, hard work and grace. All values that have helped shape Mecha Noodle Bar today. Over the past few years, Mecha has grown to several locations across the Northeast and will continue to expand so that they can tell a story of love through color. That love comes from their food, helping nonprofits in underprivileged communities, and building good humans within their company.
