Alexis Walter is an award-winning graphic designer and New Haven native, known for her exceptional creativity and dedication to her craft. As a working mom, she gracefully balances her career while raising two remarkable girls. With over 10 years of experience in the publishing industry, Alexis has made her mark in magazines such as NYC&G (New York Cottages & Gardens), CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens), SFC&G (San Francisco Cottages & Gardens), HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens), and Food Network Magazine. Her talent and expertise extend beyond the pages, as she collaborates with companies in the greater New York City area to bring their brands to life through captivating design, both online and in print.

Alexis is passionate about raising strong girls and leads by example, instilling in them the values of resilience, creativity, and a sense of humor. She believes in living life with a lighthearted approach, finding joy in the everyday moments. Alongside her design work, she shares her love for cooking and entertaining through her online blog and community (@cheeseandweim). Alexis also explores and reviews local restaurants and businesses in CT, NY, and beyond, adding her unique perspective as both a creative professional and a mom.

In the fall of 2022, Alexis showcased her culinary skills as a home chef contestant on Food Network’s Outchef’d, embracing the challenges with her signature sense of humor. Beyond her professional and creative pursuits, Alexis takes pleasure in gardening and the delightful task of raising her flock of chickens. She also has several other pets, including her Weimaraner named Portia, who is the namesake of her blog.
