Patrick Clyne, the owner of The Castle, is a Fairfield resident and has been in the restaurant industry for quite some time. Clyne arrived from County Leitrim, Ireland in 1983 and set his roots here.

The first Castle opened in 1989 in the same building Black Rock Social House is in now (across the street from Fire Engine Pizza Co). However, moved to Fairfield in 2015 where they resided for over 7 years. They are now back in their home of Black Rock. The buzz of The Castle moving back to Black Rock created lots of excitement. Doors are open and not only are their “regulars” over joyed, but, many others as well!

The Castle has a cozy setting and Irish-American pub grub, pints and a full bar, plus brunch and regular live music. They have Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Of course, they have a brunch every Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM (which is a great time frame!). They also have late-night bites Friday through Sunday from 10:00 PM to 12:00. Let’s just say you’re going to want to order everything off of it, it sounds THAT good. And we can’t forget their amazing entertainment list, that they are constantly updating.

If you loved The Castle on Post you will love The Castle, Black Rock even better. It has double the space, better parking, and updated outdoor patio, and so much more. It may not be warm enough around St. Patricks Day, but, the outdoor patio is definitely something to look forward too!
