Bistro V, located in Greenwich, has been serving the community since 1990 at the original Versailles café location a couple doors up in Greenwich Avenue. Inspired by the classic bistro in France, Bistro V brings an authentic dining experience to Greenwich.
Not only does the bistro offer all day dining, but it also sells French pastries. The indoor dining includes a beautiful bar along with paintings for sale made by local artists Dolka and David Morico, while the outdoor dining has multiple heaters for the colder weather.
For dinner, we ordered their Escargot, and Grilled octopus as an appetizer, and their new Lobster pappardelle and Blackened salmon salad for entrees.
For drinks, Bistro V is doing a Seasonal Hibiscus Margarita for Breast Cancer Awareness month this October. We got to try this along with their Passionfruit Spritz which has a rosemary leaf that they set aflame with a torch.
To finish off our night, we got to try their popular “special tea” made with honey, ginger, lemon, and mint. It was the perfect drink the end a delicious meal and it can also be made into a hot toddy! Bistro V has happy hour throughout the week from 3-5, along with a fun Brunch every Saturday and Sunday. The owner, Marc Penvenne, also owns Méli-Mélo just up the street which is known for their crêpes.
