Blind Rhino is opening their new location in Milford, Connecticut this Thursday. Situated at 21 Daniel Street across the street from Stonebridge Restaurant, this venue aims to provide local residents with an outstanding dining and entertainment experience that complements Downtown Milford’s dynamic culture.
Upon entering the space, a giant rhino from a collab mural between Jackson Werpeps @werpeps + Tarka Tenax @tarka.tenax looks down over the booths from the left. @werpeps has been part of the wall art (including the bathrooms in Black Rock!) for each of their locations. There’s an area that can easily be sectioned off for private events as well as 53 TVs to make sure you can see your game from wherever you land.
The Blind Rhino has been awarded the Best Sports Bar in Fairfield County 9 years in a row by Best of the Gold Coast voters and they have also been recognized every year by Connecticut Magazine in the Best Restaurants issue, for everything from Best Beer Selection, Best Pub, Best Chicken Wings & even Best Nachos. Owners Casey Dohme, Matt Bacco, and Jamie Pantanella were coworkers at Ginger Man in South Norwalk. They opened their first location in October of 2015 (Happy Anniversary!) in South Norwalk while their Black Rock location opened in 2019.
Blind Rhino hosts many annual events at their existing locations and we expect they will bring these events to the Milford community as the rest of this year and next unfold. Whether it’s a special Craft Beer Dinner, Game Dinner, Trivia Mania (my team won second place in 2019!) a themed Trivia Night, special game or fight, or visiting their Food Truck or Beer Gardens they staff at local events, these guys always have you covered with a good time. We would pretty much follow them anywhere and expect them to continue to expand.
The Blind Rhino serves delicious comfort food and craft beverages, including a very impressive selection of the latest seasonal brews from all of your favorite local breweries. Guests can expect a similar menu to their other locations including our favorite Togarashi (boneless) wings, McRhino and Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. They feature special “Burgers of the Month” as well as “Wings of the Month” in addition to seasonal cocktails and their rotating draft beers. Blind Rhino has won over 40 (as of 2026) awards for their wings. They’ve won awards in Connecticut, Maine, New York (Buffalo, Westchester, Hudson Valley), Rhode Island & New Jersey including 13 trophies at the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, NY highlighted by: Best in Show Wing in 2021 for Plum Sriracha, back to back wins in 2021 and 2022 for Traditional Hot, and 3rd Place Best in Show in 2025 for Strawberry Jalapeño BBQ, and also top 3 Festival Favorite in 2025!
The new Milford location exemplifies the company’s dedication to fostering a comfortable environment, where friends and families can gather to enjoy activities like Trivia brought to you by Best Trivia Ever starting November 11th. Football specials will be available for all games and Happy Hour will take place from Monday to Friday from 4-6 PM (dine in only) with 5 wings for $5 plus food specials including our fave McRhino & Cheesesteak Egg Rolls in addition to Veggie Spring Rolls & Pork Nachos. Happy Hour Drink Specials will include $4 PBR Tall Boys, $5 draught beer, $6 Red Sangria, $6 Moscow Mules and $6 Jack Blackberry & Lemonades. The venue is set to become a beloved hotspot for both locals and visitors.
