Fairfield’s biggest global food celebration is back. The Fairfield International Food Fest returns for its second year on Saturday, September 5, taking over the entire Fairfield Theatre Company campus for a full‑day experience built around food, culture, music, and community. Designed as a late‑summer destination event, this year’s festival is shaping up to be even bigger, brighter, and more delicious than its debut.
A Global Food Lineup Featuring 12 Local Vendors
This year’s fest brings together a curated group of 12 local food vendors serving dishes from around the world. Expect Caribbean jerk chicken, Puerto Rican pinchos, Indian specialties, Greek gyros, British comfort food, Italian classics, and more. It’s a one‑day passport to global flavors—no flights required. Every vendor was selected to highlight the diversity of Fairfield County’s food scene, making this a true celebration of the region’s culinary talent.
Live Music, Cultural Performances & Film Screenings All Day
FTC’s entire indoor‑outdoor footprint transforms into a multistage cultural experience. StageOne will host international documentary screenings in partnership with Bridgeport Film Fest. Outside, live music and cultural dance performances keep the energy high throughout the day. And when the sun goes down, headliner bands take over The Warehouse for a full‑scale concert experience. It’s a festival within a festival.
Hands‑On Activities for Families & Adults
The Fairfield International Food Fest is intentionally designed for all ages. Kids can enjoy a passport activity, face painting, henna art, and a Heritage Chalk Mural. Adults can explore the 21+ tasting lounge featuring complimentary samples of wine, beer, and spirits from local partners. Admission includes access to all performances, films, and activities—food is available for purchase throughout the grounds.
A Community‑Driven Festival With Local Support
The event is powered by a growing list of community partners including Fairfield U’s Center for Arts & Minds, Sturges Ridge of Fairfield, Elicit Brewing Co., First County Bank, and The Goddard School of Fairfield. Proceeds benefit Fairfield Theatre Company, supporting its year‑round programming and commitment to the arts. In just its second year, the festival has already become a reflection of the region’s diversity, creativity, and community spirit.
The 203local Take
This festival is exactly the kind of event that makes Fairfield & New Haven Counties such a vibrant place to live. It brings together local restaurants, artists, musicians, families, and community partners for a day that celebrates who we are—diverse, creative, and connected. Whether you’re here for the food, the music, the cultural experiences, or just a great way to spend Labor Day Weekend, the Fairfield International Food Fest gives our region a signature event that feels both local and global at the same time. It’s a must‑go.
