Filling in the Blanks “FITB” is hosting The First Annual Courts for a Cause.
The pickleball tournament will be held at the brand-new Mead Park pickleball courts located in New Canaan, CT. Your participation will enable us to continue fighting childhood hunger in local communities.
This is a Round Robin Tournament with a morning and afternoon session. Each bracket will have 5 teams with all teams in the bracket playing each other. The brackets are broken up by skill level. Beginner (1.0-2.5), and three Intermediate groups (3.0-3.5). The beginners and one Intermediate group will play in the morning session. The other Intermediate groups will play in the afternoon session. There is no distinction for the Intermediate Brackets. Sign up for the time that suits you and your partner best. The cost of the tournament is $200 per player. You must have a partner to sign up. Both partners will need to register individually.
As the organization enters its 10th year, the need for the weekend meal bag program continues to grow. FITB serves over 5,300 children at 150 sites throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties. FITB services schools in eleven towns including every school in Stamford, Norwalk, and Bridgeport, expecting to deliver over one million meals in 2023. Since FITB purchases 99% of the food, events such as the Courts for a Cause are crucial for increased needs in local communities.
