Located right off Main Street, House of Pho in Stratford is an extremely welcoming atmosphere offering authentic Vietnamese Cuisine. Opening in February 2020, the restaurant has become a local favorite as it offers options for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Their signature item, of course, is Pho. Pho is a Vietnamese soup consisting of flavored broth, rice noodles, and a variety of toppings. House of Pho prides itself on incorporating the essence of rich bold flavor into their bone broth noodle soups. With options varying from steamed shrimp; to Vietnamese meatballs, rare beef, sliced chicken, and vegetables, everyone can find a kind of Pho to enjoy. We tried the Pho Ga “Morning After”, which was chicken, noodles, scallion, cilantro, onions, and garnished with Thai basil, bean sprouts, and lime. The flavors complimented each other perfectly, 10/10 would recommend it!
Although the Pho was incredible, I would argue that the appetizers offered at House of Pho are the best part of the meal. We tried the Pork Belly Steam Baos, which were stuffed with cucumbers, pickled veggies, cilantro, and aioli. These were absolutely delicious, offering a perfect amount of crunch in each bite.
We also tried the Bang Bang Shrimp, an immaculate mixture of sweet and spicy flavors. These crispy fried shrimp were toasted in kewpie aioli, siracha, and sweet chili sauce, and the presentation was absolutely flawless.
The last appetizer we ordered was the Dragon Berry Salad. This was light, fresh, and so tasty with accents of strawberries, raspberries, and dragonfruit. The Fried Egg Rolls are on my list of appetizers to try next!
Of course, there is always room for dessert! We tried the oreo cheesecake and the mochi, two completely different but equally delicious options. The presentation of these desserts was wonderful.
House of Pho is a perfect place for all occasions! With an extensive drink menu including wine, beer, cocktails, sake, and soju, stop by to grab a drink made by their super friendly staff. I am excited to return to House of Pho to explore more items on the menu, go check them out!
