If you’re looking for ways to get involved locally that actually matter, Operation Hope has a full lineup of events that make it easy to show up for your community—no matter your vibe.
Based in Fairfield, Operation Hope is on the front lines of fighting hunger and homelessness—and their events are where the community comes together to make that impact happen.
The Lineup: Something for Everyone
Here’s what’s happening right now and into 2026:
- Pink Cardinal Giveback (Now – March 31, 2026) Shop custom apparel and 50% of proceeds go directly to Operation Hope—basically, retail therapy with a purpose.
- Hot Chocolate for Hope (Ongoing) A county-wide café crawl where every cup of hot chocolate equals a donation. Simple, local, and honestly kind of genius.
- Evening of Hope Gala (May 7, 2026) The organization’s biggest night of the year, bringing the community together for a full evening of food, music, and fundraising at Brooklawn Country Club.
- Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive (May 9, 2026) Help stamp out hunger for families in Fairfield! Keep an eye out for a postcard from your mail carrier announcing the annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 9, rain or shine, and well as a plastic bag in which to place your donations.
- Antique & Classic Car Show (June 7, 2026) A daytime event with serious summer energy—classic cars, community vibes, and proceeds going back to a great cause.
And that’s just part of it—throughout the year, Operation Hope also taps into larger community efforts like food drives, holiday programs, and volunteer opportunities.
Why It Matters
Operation Hope isn’t just hosting events—they’re creating real, local impact. Every dollar raised helps provide meals, shelter, and long-term support for individuals and families across Fairfield County.
And the reality? The need is closer than people think. These events help make sure support is there when it’s needed most.
The 203local Take
This is what the 203 does best—showing up, supporting each other, and turning everyday moments into something bigger.
Whether you’re shopping, sipping, dressing up for a gala, or pulling up to a car show, there’s a way to be part of it.
So if you’ve been looking for a reason to get involved—this is it.

Since 1985, Operation Hope has focused on not just providing food and shelter, but also empowering people with the resources and support needed to achieve self-sufficiency and lasting change.
